Not Dead!

Wed May 27, 2009, 6:59 AM
Nope, I'm not dead! But I'm only half busy.

Lookin' for a job, dealing with apartment problems, playing games...all the while trying to kick myself in the rear and get something done!

But I am on a three step program to get myself going!

Step one: Finish sculpy sculpture I started the other day.

Step two: Colour Kuta drawing I just finished.

Step three: Finish the storyboards for a 1 minute short that I started a little while ago.

So see? Things are started, I just gotta get 'em done!

Hopefully we'll see some finished stuff soon!

  • Mood: Worried
  • Listening to: whatever Lindsay's watcin' on TV
  • Reading: nothing
  • Watching: Avatar! Again!
  • Playing: Zelda: Twilight Princess
  • Eating: does minty gum count?
  • Drinking: Nuttin

Aye, I have, strangely enough... pretty well the same issues.

-- Call center sucks, it drains my soul every day that I work there... I'm trying DESPERATLY to find other work, but I just seem to keep hitting dead ends
-- The Internship is AWESOME, and I love my life when I do it, but again, I'm unpaid XD
-- I'm also keeping my eyes open for an affordable apartment that will take pets
-- And I'm also having the hardest time building and maintaining motivation to keep myself drawing!

People keep telling me that things will work out... and I hope, for both of our's sake... that this is true! XD

Keep drawing though :D You always do great work!!! ... and I'm also trying to keep myself active as well :3

Awe thanks Joe, you're so sweet!

I wish we could get together, I miss summut awful hahaha.

Oh, and here's a tip about finding an apartment: It's illegal for a landlord to refuse renting you because you own a pet. :) They can stop you from getting one if you move in before you own it, but they can't refuse you.

There was a huge problem in Timmins a few years back, the animal shelters were overflowing cause landlords kept saying 'no pets allowed.' Poor souls, all lost their friends cause no one told them that that wasn't allowed.

So does that mean that once you move in and then get a pet, they can kick you out?

where did you see this law?
I am having a uber hard time finding an apartment myself, as i have cats. And what pisses me off, if a lot of places wont even consider because of the fact i have kitties. Um, that is what a damage deposit is for, and they aren't even destructive!!!

Once you move into an apartment, you need to consult with your landlord before getting the pet. A lot of people are more lenient depending n the type of pet. But unless you sign a contract saying that you'll never get a pet, they can't evict you. Might try to make you get rid of the pet, depends on the owner.

I'm not sure where I first heard that...and to be honest I tried to find it at [link], but I'm not sure what to look for. I'll ask around.

Where are you looking for an apartment? Everyplace I applied to here in Toronto didn't have a problem with pets.

Ugh, well good luck with that.

You know, even if a place says 'no pets, bleh!' a lot of landlords will still be okay with a cat or two if you talk to them face to face. try it before you give up on any apartments that you might really like.
