Obviously, I'm well aware of this handicap and take what opportunities I can to see some of these movies that I SHOULD have seen while I was growing up.
So I'll tell ya...I have never seen the terminator movies.
Okay that's a lie, I was force to watch the third one soon after it was released on DVD, and I was treated to the first episode of the Sarah Conner Chronicles...but never saw the first two.
The other day, I asked my BF to rent the first two for me so that I might finally see what it's all about. He ended up coming home with every bit of Terminator he could get his hands on.
And not an hour ago, I watched it.
There is a good reason why I miss out on a lot of movies. I'm a pussy. I get creeped out, grossed out, freaked out. I couldn't even watch the scene where the bot plucks out his eye (yeah..I know..he's a bot...) As soon as the opening credits rolled, I was pretty spooked. I'm pretty sure it was the music, it was creepy! It sounded all industrial and kind of apocalyptic, which is probably what they were going for.
All in all, I was pretty impressed, since it was an old movie. And all of the catch phrases which had become so cliched and silly now felt fresh and used appropriately. It was a good watch, and I enjoyed it very much.
My favorite scene? When the Terminator is chasing Sarah and Kyle down the street in a transport truck. EPIC.

I love that scene, and I love all of the old school stop motion animation, for some reason it's so much creepier than CG stuff. I'll be watching T2 in the next couple of days
